March/April Athletes of the Month

slaten_250   The goal of any athletic endeavor is a positive result. For the March and April Athletes of the Month, the results speak for themselves.
Julian Clark, the March Athlete of the Month, and April's Athlete of the Month, Stephen Slaten, are both perfect examples of what hard work and dedication can achieve.
Slaten, a 13-year-old eighth grader from Parkview Middle School in Yucaipa, has used his sixth-plus weeks at Adrenaline to REALLY improve his test results. In that time, Slaten has improved in all testing categories, including a five-inch improvement in the vertical jump (15" to 20"), a 3.5-inch improvement in the power-ball toss (19 to 22.5) and four-tenths of a second improvement in the 20-yard shuttle (5.68 to 5.28).
Most impressive among Slaten's improvement is his 40-yard dash time, which improved from 6.50 to 6.12. That's nearly four-tenths of a second!
"Stephen has great energy," Director of Training Leonard Russell said. "He always comes in ready to work and shows great improvement everyday. He's really become comfortable in the weight room."
julian_clark_250   So comfortable that Slaten has gained four pounds.
Like Slaten, Julian Clark has really grown into his own at Adrenaline.
A 14-year-old basketball player from Riverside King, Clark has made great strides in a short time.
"When he first came in he was a bit awkward," said Russell. "Now he's one of the elite high school athletes. I use him all the time to demonstrate proper form and technique."
Clark, who Russell says has a great sense of humor, spends his off time hanging out with friends, looking for the next good time.
"I always see him at the movies," Russell said. "He loves life and it shows."
Congratulations to both Stephen and Julian for their work hard work and dedication. The staff at Adrenaline Athletic Training thanks you for efforts and hopes it will result in success in all your athletic endeavors!
