Sports Massage

Injury Intervention Sports Massage

Every hands on therapy session is designed to address each client’s specific needs and goals. Generally your massage will focus in on a problem area or areas suchas pulled hamstring or frozen shoulder etc. A full body sports massage is also available.

Sports massage decreases symptoms causedby soft tissue damage. This therapy works great for injuries such as plantar fasciitis, numbness in the lower arms and hands, headaches, hamstring strains, achilles tendinosis, shin splints, and rotator cuff injuries just to name a few. Injury Intervention Sports Therapy is not only intended for athletes, it’s great for normal wear and tear and repetitive motion injuries. Reducing toxins such as lactic acid in the muscle tissue, and scar tissue from old injuries or micro-tears, reducing trigger points, and lengthening shortened muscles will reduce your pain and other soft tissue related symptoms and reduce the likeliness of future injuries such as sprains and strains. Modalities used during each massage may include myofascial release, neuromuscular "trigger point” therapy, muscle release therapy, active isolated stretching, joint capsule release, orthopedic massage and muscle testing. Through the use of these revolutionary techniques flexibility and range of motion will increase.

You will experience faster recovery from injuries, and soft tissue injuries decrease. Stretching and exercise instruction along with self massage instruction may also be discussed during your therapy session to promote a healthy balanced body.
